On Tuesday, the Music Service held a concert at St Michael's Church in Boldmere with ensembles from the the north side of Birmingham performing in the North Area Brass Chamber Concert.
The first half featured primary school groups including a sextet of budding brass musicians from Whitehouse Common who performed Fanfare Opener by Alan Pring. They played brilliantly and were rightly rewarded with loud applause. Well done to them all.
It was also lovely to see several former pupils playing in ensembles from Fairfax, Sutton Girls and Bishop Veseys, and then to see pupils, past and present, play together as part of the North Area Brass Band.
