Lo que hicimos en español (Primavera)

Before the Easter holidays, Year 3 and Year 6 put their creative as well as linguistic skills to the test. As they came to the end of their units, they completed an assessment to show what they had learned.

Year 3 had been using the items in their pencil cases to identify the gender of nouns, deciding if they are masculine or feminine, and had also been learning how to use a bilingual dictionary. To demonstrate all these skills, they read a story called ¿Qué veo? about a bear who could see lots of things but couldn't be seen as he was hiding. Each child used a bilingual dictionary to rewrite the story and wrote their own minibook. They enjoyed it so much that they wanted to take their stories home so we took photographs of them for their books and the minibooks should be home ready to be shared by now.

Year 6 had been working on placs in their town this half term and pulled together all their work on adjectives, conjunctions and qualifiers to write a paragraph that they then wrote on a triarama with a town backdrop. Some excellent and imaginative work was produced and we're going to display themon the wall like a road of town centres!
