Jurassic and Cretaceous Creations

This week we have linked lots of our learning to our Dinosaurs topic. We are enjoying this topic so much and we feeling so inspired that we followed the instructions which we wrote in our English lesson last week and combined this with maths skills and creativity to produce our own Dinosaur Egg Cake Pops! It was sticky, messy and a lot of fun!

We have also used similar skills to make our very own dinosaur fossils using salt dough. We talked about the fossilisation process and the important part that fossils play in teaching us about the past and then we chose parts of model dinosaurs and dinosaur skeletons to make impressions in the dough which we then baked to make rock-like fossils.

We have absolutely loved this topic and have learnt a lot!
