Mrs J Slassor photo3My name is Jane Slassor and I am the Inclusion Leader at Whitehouse Common Primary School. Part of my role is being responsible for Special Educational Needs and I am the named school Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO). I am supported by a team of highly skilled and trained teaching assistants who help plan and deliver a range of interventions to support and challenge our children with additional needs alongside all our dedicated teachers.

Mrs Clark is a higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who helps to support me with the day to day co-ordination of Special Educational Needs in School.

We always strive for excellence ensuring that the potential of every child is maximised, irrespective of ability, race, gender and social origina. We believe in supporting the child to enable them equality of access to the curriculum in an environment where every child is values and respected.

School Nurse

Our school nurse is Liz Rowse and she is available to speak to parents and support in any way she. She is based at the Falcon Lodge Clinic and can be contacted on 465 5232. She is also available to meet parents in school for drop-in sessions at 2.30pm on a Tuesday afternoon fortnightly. Parents can call her direct or can contact the school to arrange meetings or referrals to the service. The School Nursing Team can support in a wide range of ways including toileting, behaviour, sleeping and health care concerns.
