Foundation Stage Coffee Morning

User Rating:  / 3

On Friday 30th September, Reception and Nursery are holding a Macmillan coffee morning in aid of Macmillan and #teamisobel. This afternoon we have been busy baking ready to sell cakes on Friday morning. It would be lovely if every child could have a visitor to come and buy their cake! Tea and coffee will be served for parents in the Acorns hall from 8.50am. This will be cleared away before 9.15am when the children will come to the hall to sell their cakes. If you are unable to attend please send a donation in with your child and they can bring a cake home. Donations of cakes will also be well received. We look forward to seeing Foundation Stage parents on Friday!

User Rating:  / 3

Reception had a fantastic time celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday last week! We prepared homemade scones to enjoy with jam and cream and even made cucumber sandwiches. We made sure we cut the crusts off just like the Queen does! There were some fantastic costumes and we thoroughly enjoyed partying at the PTA disco.

Super Sunflowers

User Rating:  / 1

This week Reception have been learning about the lifecycle of a sunflower. We wrote about how a sunflower grows and painted some beautiful sunflowers that were inspired by Vincent Van Gogh. In maths we investigated money and found out how to make amounts using different coins. We also worked on our fine motor control, using tweezers to see how many frogs we could pick up before the sand timer went down.

Don't forget that on Friday 13th May the school is celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday. Children can dress up in king or queen outfits for a £1 donation and also enjoy a PTA disco in the afternoon. They can  purchase a disco snack pack for £1 with all monies raised going to the school. Due to the celebrations we would ask that for next week only Library book bags and reading books are returned to school on Wednesday.
