5MM Gymnastics House Tournament

After a few weeks of building up our skills and having lots of fun, 5MM compelted their End of Unit Tournament in Gymnastics this week.

Each House Team was split into two groups and scored out of 5 on different aspects of the sequence routine they had put together (including: timing, core body strength, creativity, accuracy of balances, range of difficulty of balances),

The sequences were very impressive and showed how much the children had learnt, and how much their skills had developed from the first few lessons.

Well done to ACER who came out as the overall winners!5MM_Gymnastics.PNG

Swimming Gala

On Saturday evening, children from Years 4-6 swam in the Wilson Stuart Active Society Annual Swimming Gala at Walsall Swimming Baths

The children swam in a mixture of events these included relay events, freestyle races, back crawl races, breaststroke races and butterfly races.

The children were extremely well behaved and did us proud!

The children swam brilliantly against some extremely tough competition. Several children managed to finish 2nd or 3rd in their races and others suffered very narrow defeats!

Well done to all who took part in this exciting event and a big thanks to all of their supporters who brought them along and sat cheering us on from the gallery!
